Apple sauced!

I got this apple sauce recipe from Wendy. (you are right Wendy...it's the best I have had too!) I copy and pasted your recipe here.

Crock pot Applesauce (borrowed from a fellow blogger)

10 apples peeled and sliced
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup of water

Place all ingredients in the crock pot. Cook on low 8-10 hours, or on high 3-4 hours. Drain, I used our colander, put in bowl and mash. Place into containers refrigerate or freeze.

We eat a lot of apple sauce here....three of my four ducklings love the stuff! .....Ollie being the one that doesn't.

Believe it or not......Van also made apple sauce at school yesterday. We had to peel and slice an apple for him to take and he had to wear his apple shirt that he made at school. This Tuesday his class is going on a field trip to an apple farm.

Yum-o! I think I may have to give that a try. I love my crockpot...I use is 5 of the 7 days a week most weeks. Too easy, and too yummy. My girl is gonna love that recipe...she loves apple sauce!

Just put this in my crockpot! Can't wait.

Few of my favorite crockpot meals:

SALSA CHICKEN
-chicken breast
-equal parts salsa (whatever temp you like) and sour cream

*place chicken in bottom of crockpot. mix sour cream and salsa pour over chicken and cook on low 8 hours. I serve this with mashed potatoes and then use the sauce as a gravy.

BLODDY MARY CHICKEN (actually a weight watchers recipe)

-chicken breast
-bottle of bloody mary mix
-cut up slices of celery
-baby carrots

*put all in a crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours. I serve with this with rice.

SWISS CHICKEN

-chicken breast
-can of cream of "whatever" soup (I like cream of chicken with mushroom)
-one soup can of milk
-6 slices of swiss cheese
-1 box of stove top
-1/4 cup of melted butter/marg.

*place chicken in bottom of crockpot. Layer swiss cheese on top of that. Mix milk and soup and then pour that over chicken and cheese. Pour box of stove top on top of that (dry). Pour melted butter/marg. over stove top. Cook on low 8 hours.

These are just a few of our faves! If you have any good ones please share...we are always looking for something new and yummy!
