Fall farm fest

Saturday, we went to Fall farm fest. Nanny and Papaw, plus my sister in law and niece and nephews came along too. 

It was cold, but the kids had fun.

We went through a corn maze and a hayride.

cub scout day camp

Today is the last day for cub scout day camp.

Van and Petey have had a blast this week!

Vanny said that he has been on "cloud nine."

 I must say that it has been quiet during the day.

( Tatum and Ollie are the quiet ones.)

other highlights for the week include:

Van caught three fish, Petey hooked Van in the arm with his fishing hook, Van and Petey did the best in their whole pack in archery. 

Petey got to eat pizza yesterday .... 

It's been a good week.

Mohawk

Yes, that's right, you did see Van in a mohawk in the last post.

The boys got summer haircuts last night and Van wanted a mohawk.

At the playground

I took the kids to the playground today for the first time this summer.

 I wish I could say that it was all fun and smiles ...

but, I can't.

We did have some fun moments though.

Ollie is still having a rough time adjusting from school to vacation.

Van now feels like he is too big to hang out at the playground ... or hang out with us.

Tatum had the most fun, and was not ready to leave.

Petey had fun until he fell down and skinned his knee ... that put a damper on things.

 but we did get out and play for a while.
