Fifty Shades ...

I bet you have been wondering where I have been this last week, well I read all three Fifty Shades of Grey books.

After I saw Grits post about them, I decided to give them a try. I must live in a hole or something because I had not heard of them till her post. I bought them on my kindle and the rest as we say is history.
I loved them. I really could not put them down. The first night I stayed up till 5:30 reading. I loved the character development. I really felt like I knew the characters. I even dreamed about them, a couple of nights.
Like everyone else, book two was my favorite, but I liked how the characters kept growing in book three. I thought book three wrapped them up perfectly.
Have you read the books? Did you like them?

Confession time.

This may not seem much like a confession for some, but I have a Kindle.
Before you laugh at me, look down at the right side of my blog, you see that little button that says " I pledge to read the printed word." I believe that. I believe in buying books and reading books. Over the last year or so, I have noticed more and more classmates bringing their e readers to class with all their books on them, while I am still lugging a bag full of books to class.
My dad bought me a Kindle for Christmas, with that idea in mind.
For about three weeks I hardly picked the Kindle up. Then one day I picked it up and downloaded The Hunger Games on it and read it. Then I downloaded books two and three too. I loved the books, but I love my Kindle too.
Its true.
I do.
and I do feel a little guilty about it.
I love how handy it is. I love how I just throw it in my purse and go with it,  I carry books in my purse too, but this was so much easier. I love how I just download the book I want to read instead of having to figure out how and when I am going to get to go to the bookstore. ( I have a busy life with little free time)
Now, that does not mean that I will stop buying books.
One look at our bookshelves and you would see that we can't part with even one book. I would show you a picture of them, but they are too overcrowded and unorganized. There are some books that you just have to have. You have to hold them and flip through the pages.

However, right now I am enjoying my Kindle too.

Has anyone else had a hard time giving in to the e readers, or do you think I am just being silly?

...and before you laugh too hard at me, my favorite job that I have ever had was in a small town book store.

Hunger Games

well, I never thought that it sounded very interesting, but I finally gave in and decided to see what Hunger Games is all about. I started reading the book on Sunday and finished it Monday morning at 7am. Yep, I stayed up all night. It was a great book and I can't wait to read the next too.

Have you read Hunger Games? Are you ready to see the movies?

Can't put it down!

Josh bought me Pioneer Woman's book Black Heels to Tractor Wheels for Valentines day!
I LOVE it. I have it all but read.
Every moment I get a break, I sneak in a couple of pages.
Through class and homework, running the kids to school, dinner and dishes and some laundry...I have been reading. A little obsessed.

Has anyone else read this book? Are you obsessed or is that just me?

I am soo disappointed that Ree was in Cincinnati on Friday and Columbus on Saturday and I couldn't make it either time for a book signing. Oh well, maybe there will be another one someday.

... that this book is coming out in February!
I had starting reading the posts on PW's website, till I saw that it was going to become a book, so I stopped. That way more of it will be a surprise!
Has anyone else read it on the blog?
Are you excited for the book to come out?
 Thoughts?

update

I updated the Book List blog. { I know... it has been very long since I have updated it, but that doesn't mean that I am not reading.} It is mostly books I had to read for school.
