almost done ...

still catching up on the 21 day challenge... Today I tackled the medicine and my purse, which just leaves .... keepsakes and photos.

I cleaned out the top of the bathroom cabinet

the big container holds rubbing alcohol and peroxide. Cotton balls too.

smaller bottom container holds my diabetic stuff like lancets and alcohol wipes.

next container holds first aid stuff like band aides, ointments and such

the top container contains things like pills for things like back pain and headaches.

then, here is the bottom part of that cabinet ( because I couldn't stop there)

top shelf is toilet paper and bottom is soap and the kids mouth wash, I also added the kids bubble bath too.

As you can see, I also covered the shelves with contact paper.

Then, for the last day, we got to choose our own project and I choose my purse ( believe me , it needs it!)

Master Closet

still catching up, today was a big day! I purged a lot of clothing today.

My husband and I have separate closets and he just cleaned his out a couple of weeks ago. ( also has two closets and I have one, go figure!

I pulled everything out!

I piled all the clothes on my bed

and then started purging.

I got rid of over half my clothes, it took up over two trash bags full.

Don't worry, I got rid of some shoes too!

and here is what it looks like now....

for some reason, I only got a picture of this side, but the other side looks just as good.

I kept only enough shoes that I had room for.

 

and I placed all of my purses and tote bags in the tote and placed it on the top shelf.

( guess, I didn't get a picture of that either)

well, there you have it. now I have room for some new clothes!

three more challenges left and I will be done! ( and I get my button!)

catching up

due to sickness last week and weekend, ( yep, me and all four kids have been sick at one point in the last week,) I got behind on my organization.

No need to worry, I am still here and still moving along. Right now I am playing catch up.

first, I would like to show you what I have done under the kitchen sink...

Remember here, after I cleaned it out, it still looked nasty because of the ugly water damaged paper....

well, I have fixed that. I bought some contact paper and baskets  last night.

I even added contact paper half way up the back, it looks so much better in there now!!!

I LOVE it!

I have a felling that I might go contact paper crazy soon!

next, I did my bill area/ command central that has been living on my counter.

There are no before pictures because, well I just started and forgot to take them!

here is what it looks like now ....

I took Toni's idea of the hanging file organizer.

So far, it is working out great!

I made a file for every member of the family plus a folder for things that needs to be signed. There is a folder for school directories, cub scouts, and for things that need to be paid.

In this bin, I place the mail, things like magazines and catalogs. 

So, for me to be caught up, I still need to organize:

medicine,

master closet,

keepsakes,

photos,

and for choose your own today, I am going to tackle my purse ( BELIEVE me, it needs it!)

I know that I haven't been around much lately. We have had sickness in the house this week and I have had school work plus trying to get the house organized, I haven't been on here much.

This morning I took a look at Chadwicks site.

Not many of you know this, but I actually used to be a Customer Service Rep. at a bank (before I was married.)

I bought a lot of my clothes from Chadwicks. I used to love them. Lately they have disappointed me, for like the last few seasons.

This morning I saw some suits from the line Danny and Nicole that I just loved.

This would be just what I would look for if I was dressing conservative everyday.

Day #16 ~ Getting Organized Challenge (Cleaning out & Organizing the Fridge)

Well, here it is, my refrigerator... 

here is before:

( I really don't make the before pictures darker on purpose!)

I took everything out and washed it down with a vinegar and water mix.

and here it is now:

looks much better!

I did clean out the door too, but it wasn't very messy because I had just cleaned it out and organized it not that long ago. ( plus I forgot to take before and after pics of the door!)

medicine is still coming ....

Petey's birdhouse

last Thursday, Petey made a birdhouse at cub scouts. 

I got to help him with holding it together and using the hammer a little. Petey loved using the hammer!

I had a lot of fun helping Petey build a bird house, he said he had lots of fun too!

Day #14 ~ Getting Organized Challenge (Under the Bathroom Sink)

Do you see that huge mess of cords? Can you believe I only use two of them!?

Here it is after. As you can see, it is in need of some pretty new contact paper and a tote, which I plan to get in the near future here.

Day #13 ~ Getting Organized Challenge (The Medicine Cabinet)

finally. I am still here!!!!!

I had a busy weekend and now I am ready to organize again!

New challenge for this weekend!

I am taking this challenge too.

At first, 100 things seems like a lot, but I bet I could double that and not miss a thing!

 I will be taking my stuff to the Goodwill, I already have a huge pile started from the 21 day challenge!

Day #12 ~ Getting Organized Challenge (The Spice Cabinet)

So happy that I have already done this challenge when I did the pantry.

I have a busy day today, homework, groceries...

I am happy to say that it still looks the same .....

I cleared out, and threw some stuff away. It works a lot better now. I can find things easier now.
