cold day for football

Yesterday with the wind blowing it was very cold.

 Petey had a football game. BRRR...

While Petey had fun, he admitted to being cold.

His brothers and sister ended up sitting in the car during the game.

off to Kindergarten

My princess was off to Kindergarten screening today.

I thought that I would be just fine with my littlest one off to school ( she has been in pre school for two years) but, this morning it hit me. My little girl will be officially in school.
All of my little ducklings will be in school next year.

here she is ready to go, happy as can be.

rainy days and a new friend

Petey was supposed to have football practice Saturday afternoon.

Unfortunately, it was pouring down rain and it was cancelled. 

So, we decided to go out to eat.

We ended up at Fricker's one of our family favorites restaurants.

While it thundered and poured down rain, we ate chicken.

Then, because no one wanted to go home yet, we decided to stop in a couple of stores.

We ended up in two pet stores and came out with a hamster.

Meet Oliver.

He is Ollie's hamster. Ollie named him.

I call him H.O. (hamster Ollie)

we now officially have more pets then kids.

So, we made these doors.

Actually Josh and his friend Ty made these barn doors for our basement closet.

Before, there was just the generic sliding doors that were here when we moved in.

I don't have pictures of the step by step process because they made the doors in Ty's garage then brought them up here for assembly and to hang them.

As for what is next in the basement, I am not sure. I have plans to paint the walls grey and I think building some bookshelves are in the works too.

Petey is a Bear

Petey is playing flag football again.

This time he is playing in Tipp City and he is a Bear.

His first practice and his first game was Sunday. 

He did great and had a lot of fun too.

Easter weekend updates

A few quick updates for Easter weekend.

Tatum and I made Pioneer Woman's Knock You Naked Brownies.

I took lots of pictures of the kids coloring eggs and of their baskets, 

but I haven't downloaded them yet.( sorry)

My mom and step dad came down on Easter. We had ham and cheesy potatoes, which was yummy and filling. The kids had fun and played outside. Tatum and Ollie played with their sidewalk chalk and Tatum had my mom doing the hop scotch. 

It was a really nice weekend even though I had to go to class on Saturday.

 Josh is on Spring Break this week and we have been doing lots of things around the house. Today we spent most of the day outside in the yard. We tore out one flower bed and planted flowers in another. Tomorrow we are going to mulch. I love to do work outside. However today it was cold and I think my face got a little wind burnt. I will update and show you some pictures of our flowers and plants when we are done, we might even get some painting in too. If I get the Easter pictures downloaded, I'll share them as well. I have not had a chance to be on the computer much this weekend and my laptop is broke. I won't have her back till next week, so I may not be on her much .Plus I have lots of reading for class. Petey starts flag football this week. This is a busy busy week. I'll try to get a What I Wore post on here tomorrow. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend.

Across the U.S.A.

Petey was just in a Spring play at his school. Across the U.S.A.

Each class had a different state. 

Petey's class had Tennessee and the song they sang was Rocky Top.

Petey did a great job, I am so proud of him.

My five year old daughter was picking out clothes that she wanted on Old Navy this morning and she asked me if I would "put them on my blog like I do".

So, I made a collage, just like I do and I am posting them on my blog.
