Day #11 ~ Getting Organized Challenge (The FREEZER)

The Freezer ... lucky for me grocery day is tomorrow and the freezer was almost empty.

However I do plan on picking up some totes like Toni tomorrow too, I think things will work better that way!

So, I pulled everything out, scrubbed it down and put it back. I didn't take anything out!

Day #10 ~ Getting Organized Challenge (Laundry Room/closet)

I'm here! I'm here!!!

Sorry, I missed yesterday. Organizing our toys will take an entire day. We have toys in the boys room, Tatum's room, downstairs in the basement, and in the living room. ( Oh, the back porch too!) So much to take to the Goodwill.

However, yesterday I had plans to clear out the boys clothes, that is well over due; however, with early dismissal and other things.... time got away from me yesterday and I didn't get any organizing done!

Today, we had a two hour delay, and I had a meeting at school today, but I did get my laundry room done!

so .... here it is!

there is actually a pipe holding that step stool up!
unfortunately our laundary room is also the room with the furnace....
It is kinda the catch all room!

and .... here it is finished!

I swept up the floor and washed down the washer and dryer too!

Day #8 ~ Getting Organized Challenge (The Coat Closet)

I did it! ( I know you thought that I wouldn't make it today..... didn't you?)

I have had a very busy day.

It turns out that cleaning out the coat closet was a very good thing.

I think I found something that had been missing for everyone in the house!

and I found a $263.00 check that was 7 months old. ( that's right, no lie!)

something we didn't even know we had.

so, this was a good thing!

at top we have some Christmas decorations and Halloween costumes!

and this is what it looks like now...

I got rid of many coats that were too small or that we don't wear anymore!

I still kept the decorations there for now, but they are going to find a better home .

Day #7 ~ Getting Organized Challenge (The Pantry)

yep, I am still here and organizing!

I had class this morning, but I ended up turning around and came home due to the weather.

We used to keep a big bulk of our groceries in the garage, but my husband just finished a closet in our basement and we added shelves for food. 

That closet is still neat and orderly so I decided that it would be better to reorganize the cupboards in the kitchen that stores food instead.

I also need to go to the grocery store so that helped two. I didn't really clean things out, I found to cans past their date, that's it. Yeah!

anyway, here we go ...

and here they look now.....

I put all like things together.

Here's in the basket

I put the stuff that didn't stack neatly.

spices on the first shelf, baking on the second, and coffee and my pills on the third.

now the shelves are ready for me to buy more and put away. 

I plan on buying containers and labeling everything, but that will be a project for another day.
